Visit to Arantzazulab by the President of the Basque Government, Imanol Pradales, to learn about our strategic lines in the innovation of democracy

It was an honour to welcome the President of the Basque Government (Lehendakari), Imanol Pradales, to Gandiaga Topagunea, the headquarters of Arantzazulab. On 9th September, the day of Arantzazu, Naiara Goia, Managing Director of Arantzazulab, was in charge of welcoming the Lehendakari on his visit to Gandiaga Topagunea.

The Lehendakari visited the facilities and premises of the Congress Centre, which is located in the Gandiaga Topagunea building in Arantzazu, just like the laboratory’s headquarters. The visit ended with a meeting between the two.

The Basque Government’s support for Arantzazulab in the new legislature

The Basque Government is one of the promoters of Arantzazulab and a member of its Board of Trustees. Representatives of the General Secretariat for Communication and Social Innovation of the President’s Office sit on both the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors.

During the visit, the Managing Director of Arantzazulab, Naiara Goia, had the opportunity to present to the Lehendakari the evolution of the last four years and the strategic lines of work of the lab in the innovation of democracy, the main projects and the Laboratory model. They were also able to discuss future perspectives and ways of strengthening collaboration between the two institutions.

For his part, the Lehendakari shared his objectives for the new legislature, showing that the deepening of democracy and the dissemination of collaborative governance are strategic areas both for his agenda and for the development of our country. He also highlighted the contribution of a laboratory such as Arantzazulab and reinforced the Basque Government’s support for the lab, opening the way to continue working together on major initiatives for the future.
